Another mini-migraine this afternoon meant another day off from cooking for my family. (Hubband thinks it is so funny that my desire to cook actual meals coincides with our new resident Big Boy. He's wrong, but I can't tell him that.) Therefore, the family members are on their own for dinner. Fine and dandy. I decided that I would like some blue box mac 'n' cheese - since we inherited several from one of Hubband's friends - and set the water and mac to boil...for about forty minutes. Yup. Over-cooked mac is kind of gross. And my last minute efforts to fix the situation by adding peas to the pot? Didn't help. Now I have overcooked mac and undercooked peas. A tasty combination for the garbage disposal, I think.

Does anyone know the correct timing of Indian Summer? I wonder because it's really kind of warm around here lately. At least for nearly November. Warm to the point it makes me feel woozy at work, because you know they've got the air turned off.
