Friday, when I left work, I was elated over the idea that I had 13 days off with nothing particular to do. Aside from the 24 hour period around Christmas Eve and Christmas, we had nothing going on.

Imagine the possibilities for organization and crafts and working out and reading and beautifying and just general resting.

This morning I woke up with 7 days left.

So far, I've got the resting part down to a science.

Yesterday was more or less a complete waste. We tried Little Boy's "chemistry" set, which was supposed to make gummy worms and ended up making a smelly mess of goo instead. Glad I didn't pay for that.

Then I played about 3 hours worth of Spider Solitare and Gem Master. Fun, but not very productive.

Much later in the afternoon than I had intended, we went out to spend LB's Christmas money. Between the allowance I wouldn't let him spend this month and the money he got as gifts he had $50 to spend.

Ever let a kid loose with $50 in Toys R Us? It is not a quick venture. He finally ended up with two Spider Man toys and $20 left to spend another day.

I ended up buying two puzzles to further waste my days.

I knew Hubband would have an agenda when he came home since we had gotten an inch or so of new snow and he's been waiting all season to shovel. I took advantage of this to run to the Mall and spend our gift cert's that we had gotten from Papoo's clan.

They didn't have the hat that Hubband wanted, so I got to spend his as well. I left with 3 sweaters, 3 Christmas Beanies, some goodies from Harry & David and the Cinnabon's I promised Hubband I would bring home.

I then left the Mall and spent about $100 on stamping supplies at JoAnn's. Don't ask me. I was posessed.

So now I have tons of stuff I could be doing. Yep. Tons.

Right after I dismantle Christmas, which I promised the Hubband I would do. Today. While he was at work.

Really.
