The reunion was boring, but the evening was fun. The venue left a lot to be desired and the turnout was a little skimpy from classes of '80 and '82, but I felt comfortable most of the night and had fun being my cattie self whilst BFF cautioned me to , "Be nice!". Happy to be there with Husband - so many people weren't with their spouses, I'm sure due to the stupidly high price. I enjoyed hanging with my favorite people and just watching the rest of the class try to figure out who's who. (I brought my yearbook so I didn't have to guess quite as much. It turned out to be very popular, with people borrowing it over and over.)

I won't be going again. (Remind me of that in five years, will you?) But I did notice a huge difference this time over last. I was monumentally more comfortable being me. At the twenty year I was so nervous and I drank too much and I wore really uncomfortable clothes trying to make myself look smaller. This year I had a great looking/comfortable dress and skipped the whole pantyhose/girdle business in lieu of being able to more easily maneuver in the potty and drank water all night. We left early and had time to enjoy a nice pizza and beer stop with the BFF's before we headed for home.

If not for an unsettling family issue the popped up unexpectedly and kept me up most of the night, I'd say the evening was a success. Just not the way I'd imagined.

BTW...when I did sleep, I dreamt I was hanging out with my school friends Dave L. and Jim B. I kept saying to Jim, they told me you were dead (sadly he is) and he'd say,"Nope. I'm right here." He had a little blond daughter about two. It was a nice dream.
